Crown Shackle

The Crown Shackles, also known as Anchor Pins, are the D-shackles permanently connected to the anchor’s shank, where the anchor chain is connected to the anchor.

As excessive wear is measured on the anchor chains, it is sometimes measured on the crown shackles. In such cases, the class surveyors oblige owners to renew the crown shackles. If the crown shackle can’t be sourced, the complete anchor must be renewed, and it costs a significant amount compared to the renewal of only the crown shackle. To provide a cost-effective solution to our customers, Adamar Anchor & Chain keeps various types of crown shackles in its stock with DNV certificates.
